Grill Pork Ribs make easy!!

This is my today assignment!!!

Thanks to Lynette our cousin from London,
She bought this from a Poland grocery shop and sent us.

Westerner are really creative!!
It's so easy with 1,2,3 steps!!
In the package, there are mixer powder and paper wrapper bag!

All I need to do is:

Get a port ribs from the store!!
It cost me only RM13.87 ^^
and I'll get to enjoy a meal easily cost me around RM65 in a nice restaurant

Here's a glimps what you'll need from the packet!!

See!!!
all we need is to throw the ribs in the bag (prepared in the packet)
and add in the powder!!

What's in there??

mixer powder!

See!!
Throw everything in there~!!!

Ok, Ok!!
I cheated on you!!
I actually marinate the ribs for overnight before I grill them for dinner.

I bought the grill pan from 100Yen shop,
which cost me only RM4.99
But I think it's a great deal~!!
I don't need to wash after grilling ^^

Now, lay my ribs on the grill pan:

Put it in the oven
Heat: 220c
with Upper & Lower heater on
20minutes

Viola~~~

Take out the grill pan and check~
Looks great~ ^^

Success~!!!!

Belacan Grilled Chicken Wings

Ever think of you can have "Fried" chicken wing that baked in Oven???
Well, I just tried this at home and tra~~
It does work!!  ^^
No Oil!  No Smoke!!

All you need is just marinate your chicken wing overnight and viola~!!

Ingredient you need:-
Chicken Wing - As many as your family can eat

To Marinate, you need
1. Soy sauce;
2. Pepper; and
3. Belacan Powder

You can either marinate overnight, or just marinate half an hour cooking.

I used this Balacan Powder that bought from "Hing Heong" biscuit shops in Penang
(Special Thanks to AdamOng & MunKeat bringing 3 packs for me)

It's very cheap and you can use for 2 ~ 3 meals if you're not a big family. ^^
It cost only RM3.50 per packet

How to do it?
Simple!!

Lay your chicken wings nicely on your oven tray,
DO NOT overlay them as you do not want them to be "wet"

Have your heater both Up & Down operating;
Temperature: 250c
How long should you grill?
30 minutes.

This is what happened after 30minutes!!!

Viola~!!!!!
Surprise! Surprise~!!!!

It taste exactly like fried chicken ^^

Homemade Hokkien Mee (Fried Dark Noodle)

It is my first attempt today, somehow I made it and it taste yummy!! ^^
It's pretty easy and I hope you'll like it too!

Ingredient

Must have Pork lark, Garlic,
Meat ( I use luncheon meat to substitute since there's no meat at home ;p )
Vegie (cabbage)
Noodle ( I use Udon)
Prawn

Preparation:
Pre heat the luncheon meat at the oven or slightly fry before use
Boil prawns in hot water and quickly dip into cold water to preserve the "Q"

Flavoring:
Dark Soy - 4 spoons
Oyster sauce - 1 spoon
White Pepper

How to cook?

Very easy!!

1.  Hot pan;
2. Add pork lark and stir it,
the pork lark will produce oil when heat,
take out the golden brown pork lark and stand by;
3. fried garlic till turn brown;
4. add vegie;
5. add Udon and add flavoring at the same time
use chopsticks to stir so the noodle will not "chop" to small pieces
6. Add prawn and luncheon meat

Tada~~~~!!

Braised Pork Trotter, not so traditional way

Some of you may already know that I recently quit my job and into "rest mode".
Well, what else are great to do when you're having the time of your life?!!

FOOD!!!
ofcourse!! haa

I bought a cook book and found the recipe below are quite easy and interesting!
So planning to give myself a GO!~~

Well well...
after i bought the trotter...

I figure most of the ingredient needed I do not have it at home!
Haaaa!!  I knew it!

Well well,
I kinda give myself a little though about what we have at home and hmmm,
Below are my "improved" recipe: (which I think it make our life easier too ^^ )

What you need to buy:
1. Port Trotter (at this size and weight, it cost me RM25)
2. A packet of Bah Kut Teh mix

What else you need?
8~10pcs of small size Lump Sugar
Ground pepper (approx 1 tea spoon)
2 spoon of dark soy
1 bowl of chicken broth
5 slices ginger

Is that all??
Yeap!!!

How do you make it?
1. Put your trotter into hot boiled water soak for 5 minutes
(this step is to clean up the trotter,
firm the shape,
and allow your trotter juice well keep inside)

2. Put your trotter with all the ingredient into a pot,
add water just nice to cover the whole trotter and let it
simmer for 1 and half hour
(or longer if you wish)

and WA~LA~~~~

PS.
I added boiled eggs after the trotter was done.
Since the trotter were so huge for just the 2 of us,
so with a plate full of vegie we are good to dig in!!

Bon Apetite!!!
